ARYSTA LIFESCIENCE ANNOUNCES LAWN & LANDSCAPE SPREADER GIVE-AWAY RECIPIENTS

CARY, N.C. (May 12, 2009) – Six lawn care operators across the U.S. walked away with free lawn and landscape spreaders thanks to Arysta LifeScience North America Turf & Ornamental Products. The company’s professional spreader equipment give-away was part of the promotion for advancements made in formulation and performance of DISARM® G granular strobilurin fungicide and ALOFT® LC G granular insecticide for lawn care.

The winners were selected from those who participated in the Arysta LifeScience booth drawing at the 2008 The Green Industry and Equipment Expo. Arysta LifeScience awarded one grand prize 2009 PermaGreen® Magnum Ride-On® SmartSteer™ Spreader, with a MSRP of over $7,000 to Mike McCollough in O’Fallon, Ill. Five additional lawn care operators received a John Deere LESCO 80lb Stainless Steel Spreader with an approximate retail value of $369.

McCullough, President of Landscapes Unlimited, was presented with his spreader at the John Deere Landscapes store in Collinsville, Ill., last month. McCullough indicated the award of a professional grade ride-on spreader provided a major asset, enabling him to apply for state certification for fertilizer and chemical applications and significantly expand the lawn and landscape services his business could offer.

“The response from lawn care professionals to this program was excellent,” said Michael Maravich, Turf & Ornamentals Marketing and Product Manager at Arysta LifeScience. “We are particularly gratified to be able to award high-value capital equipment that enables lawn and landscape business owners a chance to expand or improve their service offerings to their customers.”

The winners of the John Deere LESCO push spreaders included:

  • Karen Scholten of S.S. Services, LLC in Holland, Mich.
  • Robert Brown of All Seasons Grounds Management, Inc. in Norfolk, Va.
  • Douglas Columb of Grasshopper Lawns in Naugatuck, Conn.
  • Aaron Schilling of FHL Landscaping, LLC in Walton, Ky.
  • Greg Pierce of Lawnmasters Lawn & Landscape, LLC in Puryear, Tenn.
